As an Assistant Site Manager, you will be confident and self-motivated, and a key member of the customer focused Construction team in our South West region. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will assist with managing the development of the site through to completion, ensuring that Programme, Quality and Cost targets are achieved in accordance with the Build Programme, through the effective management of the Site team and Subcontractors. You will deputise for the Site Manager in their absence and be responsible for delivering excellent customer service to customers in line with company guidelines.
You will be expected to:
• Ensure compliance at all times to the company Health & Safety Policy and standards, and any further laws or legislation.
• Support the Site Manager in coordinating trades, direct labour and materials to meet the production programme.
• Work in conjunction with the Sales Team, ensure that regular Sales/Build meetings are attended, all Sales/Build procedures are adhered to, and inspections of all show homes are carried out.
• Accept responsibility for such duties and responsibilities as the Site Manager may determine; in particular, as and when required, deputise for the Site Manager.
• Support the Site Manager, in ensuring that the on-site Construction team is fully resourced and well-directed, with clear guidelines to their own job responsibilities, and are provided with full support in achieving these.
• Ensure that detailed plans are followed to ensure that material/resources/supply chain can be delivered to meet the production Programme.
• Ensure compliance with the Customer Journey process including welcome meetings, home demos, RFO sign off and after sales visits.
• Be responsible for delivering excellent customer service to customers in line with company guidelines.
Desirable skills and experience:
• Strong leadership skills to ensure optimum delivery to the highest quality standards.
• Ability to prioritise tasks to meet changing business needs, proactive and able to demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ideally a good all round knowledge of all aspects of construction and housebuilding, and relevant legislative requirements e.g. Health and Safety, NHBC requirements and Building Regulations.
• Experience of working to an established build programme.
• Proven ability to ensure delivery of targets through good coordination of the work force.
• Experience in the management of Health and Safety.
• Experience of working on new build projects.
• Knowledge and experience of dealing with issues relating to Customer Care.
• Ideally a member of the Chartered Institute of Builders and/or qualified to NVQ level in Construction Management, or a time served tradesman with considerable experience in a full range of construction trades.
• CSCS Card.
• Valid SMSTS Certificate.
• Valid First Aid at Work Certificate.
• NVQ Level 3-4 BTEC diploma in Building Construction or similar.
• Valid Scaffold Inspection certificate.
• Valid LOLER certificate.
